“While many EAA AirVenture participants stay in hotels throughout the region, as well as college dormitories and private housing, others believe that camping at EAA AirVenture is the best way to get the real flavor of the event,” said EAA President Tom Poberezny. “After a busy day on the flight line at Oshkosh, those who camp on-site find it easy to make friends as they share memories around a campfire or cookout. Their experiences become even more memorable as they take part in this aviation-minded community that springs up at Oshkosh.”
Camping is also an easy and inexpensive way to enjoy EAA AirVenture, whether you bring a tent or camper. Rates are only $20 per day for each camp space, and open to any EAA member and their guests. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and Camp Scholler always has plenty of room to welcome all AirVenture participants.
