As EAA’s B-17 and Ford Tri-Motor continue to tour
the country, you can now track their movements online and in real time! The
hand-held SPOT Satellite Messenger device is now aboard both airplanes,
allowing those with an Internet connection to track the GPS location of the
plane via Google Maps when flying missions during the tour.
SPOT is the world's first satellite messenger
that uses the GPS network to pinpoint a user's location and transmit that
information and selected messages to friends, family or an emergency response
center over a separate satellite network.
