Approximately 60 aviation authors are scheduled to appear at Author's Corner throughout the week of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. Featured scribes will be signing books and DVDs, as well as meeting and greeting attendees daily, July 27-Aug. 2.
Author's Corner, located primarily in the EAA Wearhouse, showcases writers' works about men and women in aviation via biographies, autobiographies, inspirational works, fiction, how-to, historical accounts, and children's books. Other Author's Corner venues are located inside the EAA AirVenture Museum at the Eagle Hangar, Aeronautica Gift Shop, and the Skyscape Theater.
Among the authors slated to appear during the week are Jonna Doolittle Hoppes, sharing the stories from her grandfather, Jimmy Doolittle; World War II Aces Bud Anderson and Gunther Rall; Steve Saint, jungle pilot who lived among the Amazon tribe that killed his father; and Harold "Hal" Weekley, one of EAA's B-17 pilots and the last B-17 combat Aircraft Commander.
