There are limited openings still available for
the second annual EAA Young Eagles Golf Classic on July 31, held at The
Courses of Lawsonia in Green Lake, Wis. This event brings together the
aviation community, world of entertainment and the public to support EAA’s
Young Eagle Program. Top name aviation and golf celebrities will again be
participating in the event, played on Lawsonia’s famed Woodlands course.
Special guests scheduled to participate
include director, screenwriter and aviation enthusiast Wil Shriner; PGA
Tour golf pro Mike McCullough; aviation legend Moose Barrows; country
music artist and pilot Aaron Tippin; and renowned aerobatic pilots Sean
Tucker and Mike Goulian.
Registration is open to the public for $250
per golfer. Golfers can choose their foursome or be assigned. Event prizes
include golf-cart use during AirVenture, a Remos Light Sport Aircraft
package for a hole-in-one and other special aviation prizes.
EAA Young Eagles program provides free
flights to youth ages 8 to 17 to help spark aviation interest for a new
generation. Since the program began 1992, nearly 1.5 million young people
have given the opportunity to explore the skies and join the World’s
Largest Logbook.
